Listen up Explorers!

Exploring in Dizzywood just got better! Starting tomorrow, you will discover that Dizzywood has come alive with all types of neat sounds. Everything you interact with will come to life-your Zap Power will sound more powerful, you’ll hear when your friends chat with you, you’ll even hear new sounds when you open your backpack, travel from room to room, put on new clothes, and get new items! Keep your ears open for these sounds as you explore a new and exciting Dizzywood!

Dizzywood Needs Your Help!

The magical Weather Wizards have come together to direct all Dizzies to Wildwood Glen in efforts to salvage that which Emperor Withering has not destroyed! What was once a place of beauty and shade, where Presto and friends would gather for a rest after a day of exploring, is now a valley of forgotten tree stumps. We can’t let Emperor Withering demolish Dizzywood’s precious trees!

One of the many creatures displaced by Withering’s work was the Leaf Sprite. Waiting for you in Wildwood Glen, he will direct you on how to quickly earn seeds and regrow trees. All hands are needed for this project! The more Dizzies that help, the quicker we can make a change to Wildwood’s environment.

Look for the Weather Wizards in Presto’s Grove where they will give you special instructions on how you can help. Gather all your friends, because not only will you be making a difference in Wildwood Glen, but Dizzywood has made a pledge, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, to plant a real tree in the world for each of you that plants a virtual tree in Dizzywood. All your efforts will have a real-world impact!

Let’s work together to revive our tall wooden friends so that we may restore the quality of air in Wildwood Glen!

Call for Pathfinders

Hello, Chief Pathfinder Burrows here! You may not recognize me because most of my time is spent underground, while I explore the far reaches of Dizzywood to help lost travelers. But with all the new visitors and that conniving Emperor Withering, this job is getting far too big for just one groundhog!

Montana Jack and I have created a fleet of travelers called “Pathfinders.” I shall test the knowledge of those who think they know every corner of Dizzywood as well as I know the back of my digging paw! Most importantly, these chosen few will be ready and able to assist others in Dizzywood, while keeping it a safe and fun place for everyone!

Do you have what it takes to become a Pathfinder?

If you answered yes to the above question, look for me, I’ll be popping up out of the ground trying to find the newest additions to my Pathfinder troop!

Don’t Get Caught without the Latest Dizzywood Fashions!

Next time you are taking a stroll through Presto’s Grove, be sure to make a stop at his Clothing Shack Wagon to see what’s new! Presto, and the rest of the Dizzywood gang have been hard at work sewing some fabulous new garments for all its citizens. Presto has promised to continue to add new clothing options, for both girls and boys! So, be sure to snap them up while they are still on sale. Presto has announced that he will retire old clothing to make room for the addition of the new clothes that he is already working on for the next sale!

We want everyone on Dizzywood to have fun and be safe, so thanks for your help in following these rules.

Green Thumbs in the Gazebo

garden-gazebo.jpg

Did you know that before our resident animals arrived in the land of Dizzywood, massive magical creatures roamed the land, flew through the skies and swam the seas? Well, one of these brave creatures was named the Great Dizz and he made his home in an area called Wild Wood. The sad thing is, no one, not even Presto himself, knows where these ancient creatures went.

One particular animal, Katherine deClaw, found the remains of the Great Dizz’s private garden and took it upon herself to rebuild it in his honor. She even built a wooden gazebo and recently began to re-grow many of the magic plants that grew there… and YOU CAN HELP!

Enter the Garden Gazebo by way of Presto’s Edge. Click on the sign and choose the secret code “friends.” You will be greeted by Kat herself and she will instruct you to get gardening! You can play the multiple rose bush games to win seeds, then you can plant your seeds and grow a stunning Whisperweed, Gumbilina or Butterfaux, just to name a few!

There are happy hoppy Garden Sprites promenading around the Gazebo who will unveil the process of earning a Kitty Critter to accompany you as you cultivate. Kat really needs some help growing the vines on the wooden columns, because the more people who help make them grow, the faster they thrive! In addition to reviving the Garden Gazebo, she would appreciate it if all the Dizzies would share their plants throughout Dizzywood! So let’s get seeding!

Share your Dizzywood Fashions with the New Veeton Fashion Camera!

There is a new way to show your friends exactly what you are wearing in Dizzywood. Many have already stumbled upon the camera, and have taken plenty of photographs showing off their Dizzywood apparel, but many of you may not know that you can share these photos as Widgets on your very own WordPress blog!

Follow these steps:

1) Put on your favorite outfit and take your fashion photo. After you do this, it automatically saves itself onto your computer.

2) Go to your WordPress blog. Click “Write,” upload your photo as full size, then click “Send to editor.”

3) Once you see the actual photo in the body of the post, click the tab above “Code.” Highlight & paste all those numbers and letters you see.

4) Click “Presentation,” then click “Widgets.” Drag the “Text 1” widget to your sidebar.

5) Open that widget (by clicking that little box to the right of it). Now paste what you had highlighted & copied earlier into that box. Click “Save changes.”

6) Now for the payoff! Click on “View site” and if you have completed these steps correctly, you should see your Dizzywood Fashion Photo on your sidebar!

Congratulations! Now spread the word so you and your friends can show off the new trends in Dizzywood!

One Explorer’s Junk is a Porcupine’s Gold!

Last week a rather large, prickly character made his way into Presto’s Grove feeling weary, tired and in need of a rest. After spending the night in the tent in Explorer’s Camp (making sure not to poke holes with his sharp extremities!), he worked his way out of the Jungle and settled in the Meadow. We did a little investigating and found out that he is one of Farthing’s loyal friends, who’s come to Dizzywood after hearing that many of our explorers have some quirky items in their backpacks. You’ve heard correctly! Quill, our friendly porcupine nomad, is setting up shop in Farthing’s Meadow to buy your junk! He takes things like the dental retainer, the old boot and the half-eaten snack cake and gives you coins for them! So to all those who have been collecting these random items, now is your chance to cash in! Have fun and sell away!

Hidden Treasure in Dizzywood?

As many of you know, Explorer’s Camp has a resting area for all of our weary travelers, complete with tents for shelter, sleeping bags for warmth, and some pots and pans for cooking. But have you ever wondered about those clunky old chests? Maybe caught a wheel on the corner of one while skating by? Well, put your inquisitive minds to work and take a second look at the chests, who knows what you might “capture”…
